Here
is a brief summary of what to submit:
- Please try
to submit minimum 6 images, maximum 10 images - as follows
- Image
size (Colour or B+W) to be with longest side exactly 10" (other
smaller dimension - unless square format of course - to be less than
10") (1800 pixels = 10")
- Resolution
to be 180ppi

Only JPEG images acceptable and JPEG Level to be "8"
- Image
file mode to be sRGB (Greyscale B+W images should be changed to this
before sending although I will change if necessary to suit Blurb's
preferences)
- File size
should be, using above settings, less than 500Kb and average nearer
300-350Kb, making for ease of sending as attachment to an e-mail
- All images
must be accompanied by a title (descriptive or otherwise) and submitted
with author's name exactly as required to appear in the book - do
not assume I know what you want!
- Prints are
acceptable but again to be 10" longest side and on non-textured
paper (glossy or smooth) as textured surfaces do not permit for quality
scans
- I will accept
prints of slightly smaller dimension (say 8" longest side) by
prior agreement if the author can only send commercially made
prints
- Any queries
- just ask!
- One
addition! Please do not put borders around images - I will have to
remove those as need just the images, so I can create a canvas surround
for adding Title, Author and Page Number and a simple border around
the lot - as per the original Book. Regarding AUTHOR's NAME - do ensure
that is advised when submitting your images. Thanks!

- I have tried out a facility which enabled helping a member over
the net - with him being located in the UK and with proper permissions
both ways and secure link-up, so that I could sort out a number of
problems on his computer. In effect (although of course a bit slower)
was like sitting in front of his computer and operating so he could
follow what was being done. I ran Notepad so could exchange notes
as we progressed. Worked really well. Just involves downloading (both
ends) and installing a small free programme to easily accomplish the
very fast link-ups. We did try the Microsoft built-in facility, which
seems simple but involves sending an invitation e-mail, which contains
a link to click at my end, then to enter a password (exchanged over
the telephone in a few moments) but the problem was - it might actually
work well but the first (aborted) e-mail took about 25 or more minutes
to arrive and time had bombed out. A further two e-mails (one to my
photosnowdonia sddress and another to my hotmail one) both took more
than 12 hours to arrive, so a pretty useless system. The small facility
programme gave instant connection and worked very well. So, any member
who thinks he/she would like help in this way, please contact me.
